Rory McIlroy has invited 13-year-old Irish golfer Tom McKibbin to the pro-am at The Dubai Duty Free Irish Open on May 18th.
The teenager, who is from Antrim, took up the sport four years ago, and won The Junior Championships last year and The Junior Honda Classic in Florida this year.
The two met last October in Dubai.
Rory said the young talent “has a remarkable golfing future ahead of him. He impresses me more each time”.
McIlroy invited McKibbin along after he won The Honda Classic.
Tom said he is excited and has been practising loads.
