Roscommon eviction: Tension in Roscommon as standoff remains between security firm and locals

Tensions remain high in Strokestown, Co. Roscommon after the family who were thrown out on the streets by KBC bank hired heavies finally got back into their home.

The elderly siblings are said to have told locals that they want no trouble, they just want to be left in peace.

But that wasn’t the case when security firm thugs took it upon themselves to phyiscally manhandle and throw the family out of their home.

They got more than they bargained for however when locals got together over the weekend and chased the security firm from the property, allegedly giving them a good few lashes of baseball bats. They also burned their vehicles and are said to have given them a stern warning not to come back.

Media is still heavily focused on the small town as hopefully the family can finally have a peaceful Christmas.
