It has been confirmed that one of the nations favourite soap opera’s Glenroe will be returning this Christmas.
RTE say they will be broadcasting a one-off documentary about the classic soap opera over the Christmas period. The upcoming documentary entitled Well Holy God it’s Glenroe, will apparently air on RTÉ One at 9.30pm, Sunday the 27 of December. Producers of the documentary will bring the Irish public down memory lane when they pay special visit to Glenroe Farm, to revisit the show’s most memorable storylines. The documentary will also celebrate the lives of some of the show’s iconic actors who sadly are no longer with us.
Glenroe ran from 1983 until 2001 when it was cancelled due to a decline in ratings after a number of lead characters decided to leave the show.
