Ryanair Chief Michael O’Leary threatens to ground its planes to make UK voters rethink their Brexit result

In what is being described as crazy, arrogant and bullying, Ryanair Chief Michael O’Leary is threatening to ground its planes in and out of the UK in the wake of the Brexit result.

It’s understood that O’Leary thinks if Ryanair grounds its planes, it could persuade voters to “rethink” Brexit.

O’Leary is said to have told an audience of airline executives and leaders in Brussels that he wants to show UK voters that they won’t get cheap holidays for a long time – but it hasn’t gone according to plan as he has gotten a backlash from many in the UK.

O’Leary’s comments have been met with calls of “arrogance”, “crazy” and even “bullying” on social media along with calls for other budget airlines to offer similar packages as Ryanair and they’ll use them instead of that a UK entrepreuner could start a budget airliner and UK passengers would use that new airliner instead of Ryanair.
