Ryanair passengers stranded in Krakow due to freezing fog

The 9.20pm Dublin-bound Ryanair flight from Krakow was last night cancelled due to freezing fog. Some passengers claim that, while they were offered refunds by the airline, they were not facilitated with overnight accommodation.

Instead, these passengers claim that they were ‘crammed’ into a side area of the departure gate while waiting for weather conditions to improve.

To counter these claims, a spokesperson for the airline did confirm that two flights had indeed been cancelled due to adverse weather conditions, and went on to say that affected passengers had been issued with overnight hotel accommodation and refreshment vouchers, in compliance with relevant EU directives.
