There was some sad news announced earlier today as it was revealed that the actor who played the character of Tinky Winky in the popular television series The Teletubbies, has sadly passed away aged 52.
The actor who had a number of children’s programme roles back in 1990s, Simon Shelton Barnes, sadly passed away four days after celebrating his 52nd birthday.
Barnes who who also trained as a ballet dancer and choreographer, reportedly died at his home in the town of Ampthill, Bedfordshire.
Although it has not been revealed how the star passed away, the news of his passing was announced via his daughter’s Facebook page.
