Spanish police have confirmed that an Irish woman has died in Lanzarote while she was on holiday.
It’s understood that the woman is from Waterford and drowned on the holiday island on Tuesday afternoon.
The Department of Foreign Affairs are said to be in contact with the woman’s family and are providing consular assistance.
The woman is said to have been in her 40s and was living in London for the past number of years.
