In a tragic set of developments, two bodies have been recovered from Galway Bay by Galway Bay Lifeguard service.
The first body was recovered yesterday afternoon, while another body was taken out of the water this morning at 11am. The two bodies have been taken to Galway University Hospital where post mortems will take place on the deceased.
It is not yet known whether these discoveries are related to the two missing men from the area, Ben Garrett and Anthony Henehan. The two men have been missing for 3 and 5 weeks respectively. A huge social media search was launched in an effort to locate both missing men.
Gardai say they will know the identities of the bodies tomorrow (Monday) at the earliest.
