The endless scourge of overcrowding at Irish hospitals must be one of the biggest indictments of this, and past governments that have done nothing to fix the decrepit state of our health service.

Today, almost 400 people are waiting for a bed across A&E departments nationwide.

As usual, University Hospital Limerick is the most overcrowded, with no less than 52 people waiting for a bed.
Cork University Hospital follows, clocking up 39 people on trolleys and overflow areas of wards. Elsewhere, University Hospital Galway reports 34 people waiting.
