A homeless man who was sleeping rough in the Bray area of north Co. Wicklow has died.
This is the third homeless individual to die on Irish soil in recent times.
The man had been found unresponsive on Saturday morning, inside the tent he was sharing with his partner. Emergency services were called, but could only certify the man’s death at the scene.
Homelessness in Ireland has skyrocketed over the last 24 months, due in great part to the Government’s inability or unwillingness to tackle spiraling rents and the arrival of vulture funds.
