Seagull attacks: Politicians are discussing today how to stop seagull attacks

The Seanad are debating the idea today of stopping seaguls attacking people and attacking rubbish left around lakes and carparks.

Senator Paul Coghlan says it is a serious issue as bags of waste are left out for collection on Dublin streets. All this came after seaguls attacking innocent passerbys in both Tralee and Dublin’s Grafton St.

Coughlan said: “Maybe some repulsive spray could be found to spray if they are going to continue putting out these plastic bags.

“Or maybe they should be encouraged to have wheelie bins, because the plastic bags are leaving litter all over the place, and I witnessed it last night.

“I thought it was disgraceful as tourists walked around the place after 11 o’clock.”
