Extremely heavy fog has blanketed the country yet again tonight.
Met Eireann has issued a grave warning tonight to all motorists and pedestrians out walking. Dense fog means visibility is currently given as just 10 feet in front of cars in some places.
An AA spokesperson said:
“People are inclined to drive at the same speed as normal, we strongly advise they slow down affective immediately and take extra care particularly on side roads.
Pedestrians are advised to wear luminous jackets and bring a flash torch with them.
The fog is expected to last for the next number of days.
