Official figures just released show that 20 children were left to languish on hospital trolleys this week alone.
And January 2019 is just as bad as previous months in terms of overcrowding, as no less than 583 patients have suffered on trolleys since the beginning of the year.
Further chaos looms in the already decrepit Irish health service, as nurses and midwives have announced a day of industrial action on January 30, in protest against deplorable working and pay conditions.
