The issue of of hospital overcrowding continues to be a black spot on the Government’s already lowly record.
Successive Cabinets have shown utter disdain for anything other than self-preservation, and enshrining the status quo.
And when it comes to hospital overcrowding in particular, things continue to get steadily worse, despite any feeble Government attempts to do anything about it.
Figures just released show that 8,154 people found themselves languishing on trolleys nationwide in the month of May.
This figure represents a 23% increase on the same period last year.
