Shane Ross hammered online by social media users over “ridiculous and unfair” L-Driver laws

Minister for Transport Shane Ross has been absolutely hammered online over the past couple of days by furious social media users over his new L-Driver laws.

Car owners who allow L-Drivers to use a vehicle unaccompanied will face fines or possibly even jail time.

Ross claims that somehow this law will help save lives – a vague analysis at best.

Social media users are saying that the laws are “absolutely absurd”, “ridiculous” and “completely unfair” to people just trying to get out and about to college, work or possibly hospital appointments.

Car owners who fall foul of the new legislation may be fined up to €1,000, spend up to 6 months in jail, or have their vehicle seized.
