A small wooden vessel containing eight decomposed bodies has washed ashore at a Japanese beach.
A Japanese Coast Guard boat made the grim discovery earlier today. The origin of the vessel is unknown, but officials suspect it might have originated in North Korea.
Conditions in the secretive regime are believed to be dire, with many experiencing hunger and deprivation on a regular basis.
Two other bodies in skeletal form washed ashore two days ago, not far from the location where the vessel ran aground today.
