At least six people have been killed after a bridge in Miami collapsed onto a freeway near Florida International University on Thursday.
The newly installed pedestrian bridge collapsed crushing at least eight vehicles.
The “Instant Bridge” collapsed at 1.30 PM Miami time and a search and rescue operation was immediately launched.
The cause of the collapse is not yet known at this time but Florida Governor Rick Scott has announced that he is closely monitoring the situation and will make the public aware as soon the cause becomes clear.
