Shocking: Former clinical nurse manager allegedly stole 50k from vulnerable pensioner




A former clinical nurse manager at a Dublin nursing home will face a trial in the coming weeks after she has been accused of stealing a staggering €50,000 from an elderly patient.

The accused woman nar Maeve Bell aged 37 with an address at Shanmullagh, Hackballscross, Dundalk, Co Louth, will face a criminal proceeding after she is alleged to have stolen the large sum over a two year period. Ms Bell allegedly conned an unnamed female at Highfield Healthcare on the Swords Road in Dublin 9, into making large payments to her via a false bank account.

Ms Bell faces 75 charges under the Theft and Fraud Act and the offences are understood to have taken place on dates in 2013 and 2014. Det John Griffin from Santry Garda station said the DPP directed that Ms Bell must face trial on indictment.
