Police in Manchester have launched an investigation after the body of a 3 year boy was found in his home over the weekend.
According to reports the young boy was found dead by police officers a mere few hours after they were called out to the scene to investigate a disturbance.
Police say the discovery comes after officers were called out on Friday to the house after they received reports of a disturbance between his parents.
It is also reported that the boy’s badly injured mother was taken to hospital by a man, aged 31, believed to be her boyfriend.
The man was later arrested at the hospital on suspicion of murdering the toddler.
It is not yet known how the infant died but police say they are waiting to talk to the boy’s mother about his death.
