A 51-year-old man in the US state North Carolina has been charged with the assault of a minor after he was caught in video punching an 11-year-old girl.
According to The Huffington Post, the man David Steven Bell, of Black Mountain, has been charged after he was caught shoving and punching the girl outside a shopping centre in Asheville on January 12th.
Although no official explanation for the attack has been given, it is reported that the man struck the girl after he tried to end a dispute which occurred outside the shopping centre.
Police investigating the incident say Bell, has been charged with assault on a child under 12 and two counts of assault on a female.
It is also alleged that Bell, shoved two other 13 year old girls during the incident.
He is expected to appear before court on February 5th.
