Rehan Khan (25) has handed himself in to a Police Station in West London for the attempted murder of a mother and her 11-month-old baby.
The victims, a 32-year-old woman and her infant child were both attacked at a house in Hanworth on Monday on received multiple stab wounds. The woman’s injuries are not believed to be life threatening however, her baby remains in a critical but stable condition.
Khan handed himself in after his name and image were realised by police.
London has been blighted by a significant increase in violent crime particularly knife crime. Over 70 murders have taken place in the city so far this year, out pacing that of New York City and 41 of those killings have been committed with a knife.
Police report a 23 percent increase in gun crime and a 21 percent rise in knife crime in the city in the 12 months leading up the March 2018 when compared with the previous year.
Most of the violence has been centred around the various ethnic ghettos that have enveloped the whole of London with the violence being primarily amongst black and Asian gangs.
London is now also the world’s capital for acid attacks.
London Mayor Sadiq Khan has been roundly criticised for focusing on promoting diversity and suppression of “hate speech” rather than dedicating his time and effort to stemming the rise of violence crime and anti-social behaviour.
