One person is dead and another 13 are wounded after a gunman in the Canadian city of Toronto opened fire on people at a restaurant and elsewhere on a busy street Sky News has reported.
The shooting took place on Sunday night, Toronto time, and the gunman is believed to have been killed after he also opened fire on police.
The gunman’s motives are not yet known but he appears to have specifically targeted two café’s and a restaurant on Danforth Avenue the BBC reports.
Toronto, Canada’s largest city and economic capital, has seen a steady rise in gun violence in the several years.
