Police in the UK have launched a murder investigation following the deaths of a 34 year-old woman and her 4 year-old son at their home.
According to reports in the British press, the murder investigation comes after the pair were tragically found dead at their home in Eastbourne, East Sussex, following a suspected arson attack.
The deadly blaze which occurred in the early hours of Monday morning sadly seen both mother and son lose their lives whilst a 26 year-old man has been placed in an induced coma after he sustained major burns in the fire.
Officers investigating the incident say latest forensic test results suggest the fire may have been started deliberately and therefore a murder investigation has been launched.
A spokesperson for Sussex police also offered their condolences to the victims families at this difficult time.
