In an explosive Primetime investigates on RTE last night, it was claimed that Crevan Mackin, the man who shot dead Garda Tony Golden in 2015, had imported guns and gardai were aware.
The show claimed that Mackin made gardai aware that he imported guns from American some nine months before he killed Garda Tony Golden.
On the 11 of October, 2015, Mackin shot his partner Siobhán Phillips in the head leaving her blind in one eye. He then shot Garda Tony Golden and then shot himself dead in their home in Omeath, Co. Louth.
It’s understood that GSOC are looking into the claims.
