A teacher has been fired after CCTV footage showed her dragging an autistic boy across the floor when he refused to walk.
According to reports in the US, the footage which has since been uploaded online apparently occurred in Wurtland Elementary School, in Kentucky, last October.
It is alleged that the teacher named as Trina Abrams decided to drag the nine-year-old who was diagnosed with including autism, ADHD, and PTSD, when he refused to walk down the hall.
Sharing the appalling footage online, the boy’s mother Angel Nelson, wrote the following: “Mrs. Abrams forcefully grabbed my son by the wrist and bent it backward while he was experiencing a meltdown (which he sometimes experiences as part of his diagnoses).”
“After he let go of the chair, she grabbed him by the wrist and drug him down the hallway from one classroom into another.”
The upset and angry mother added that her son told that Mrs Abrams also threw him down onto a chair.
Following the incident Greenup County School District have since announced that Mrs Abrams has been fired.
