Domestic violence is one of the most sinister and disturbing problems we face together as a society. Behind closed doors, no one knows what’s going on – but a study carried out has revealed that many men are getting beaten, battered, abused, screamed at and even withheld money from.
The charity Amen relased their annual report for 2016 and it shows that reports of domestic violence against men is up to almost 5,000 – an increase of around 1,500.
It’s believed that a lot of men feel embarrassed to come forward and seek help in such situations and that society, as a whole, sees this as more of a female issue.
