Police in the UK have launched an investigation after two young teenagers suffered serious injuries following a stabbing incident in Birmingham.
According to reports in the British press two teenagers one of which is aged 13, have been arrested in connection with the incident which occurred in Handsworth Park area of the city.
Police say one of the boys who is aged 16, suffered injuries that could potentially have life long implications.
It is believed the vicious stabbings occurred after a fight broke out between a group of youths at approximately 6:40pm on Monday.
Officers investigating the incident say the other boy aged 15 also suffered serious injuries in the attack, whilst a 15-year-old girl also sustained injuries in the attack.
It is believed two teenagers one of whom is aged 13, have been arrested in connection with the stabbings.
Police say both teens are being questioned on suspicion of attempted murder.
