Police in the North have launched an investigation after an innocent puppy was found beaten to death at home in Co Armagh.
It is understood the poor defenceless dog named Sparky, was subjected to the sickening act of violence at a house in the Ailsbury Park area of Lurgan, Co Armagh on Saturday.
Police say the 11 week old dog was cruelly beaten with a hammer before it was placed inside a Microwave oven, it is also believed the horrendous attack was streamed on social media via platforms such as Snapchat.
In a statement released this afternoon a PSNI spokesperson said one man, aged 23 and a teenage boy aged 16, have been arrested on suspicion of causing unnecessary suffering to an animal.
They also said they are appealing for anyone with any information in regards to the incident to come forward and contact them.
