A sick depraved father who broke his newborn baby daughter’s ribs and legs during a drug fueled rape, has been sentenced to spend 240 years behind bars.
The man at the centre of the horrific crime, Patricio Medina, 27, was given the life long sentence after he was found guilty of aggravated sexual assault of a child younger than six and two counts of injury to a child and two counts of endangering a child, on Thursday.
According to reports in the US, the sick father carried out the horrific attack whilst he was high on meth at the family home in Waco, Texas
It is believed that Medina who is not eligible for parole until 80 years from now, left his daughter with severe bone shattering injuries that required her to receive extensive treatment in hospital.
The horrifying attack which occurred back in 2014, also saw the girl’s mother Lisa Montoya, being charged with abandoning and endangering a child.
Ms Montoya was charged after she failed to report the abuse to the authorities.
It is believed that the girl who is now aged four, suffered the severe injuries after Medina squeezed her and shook her around during the sickening assault.
Medina who maintained his innocence throughout his trial, apparently confessed to a fellow inmate that he carried out the rape whilst he was high.
Following a lengthy trial, Medina was given three consecutive life time sentences that will more than likely see him spend the rest of his life behind bars.
Meanwhile the young girl is said to be doing well with her two siblings under the care of their new adoptive family.
