Simon Coveney: I have full faith in Enda Kenny to make the right decision

The Minister for Housing,, Fine Gael’s Simon Coveney has said that he has full faith in the Taoiseach Enda Kenny to make the right decision in terms of his leadership of the party.

Speaking Sligo, the man who will more than likely be up against Leo Varadkar to lead the Fine Gael party into the next election said that he “trusts Enda Kenny to make the right decision” regarding his tenure as head of the party.

Coveney or Varadkar are the two that are more than likely to have a political fist fight over who’ll be the accidental Taoiseach when Kenny finally does leave.

Coveney went onto say:
“He’s his own person and I don’t think he will respond to ultimatums. People who are demanding timelines by next Wednesday, I think, that represents a very small minority in the party.

“And I think most people in the party are not happy with that approach and I don’t think Enda Kenny will be expected to respond to that.”
