It’s just unbelievable – it would appear that the bar just keeps getting higher and higher.
30-yr-old Minister for Health Simon Harris has revealed that the new National Children’s Hospital won’t be open for at least another four and a half years.
Harris said:
“Our children have waited a long time for this new hospital but there is light at the end of the tunnel now.”
“Site clearance work, which began last year, is almost complete and so we’ll start building works in the next few weeks.”
The hospital is said to have 380 individual en-suite in-patient bedrooms, 22 operating theatres, 1,000 car parking spaces and a cost of €1 billion.
