Simon Harris: We’re considering imposing financial penalties on nurses who went on strike

It’s gone beyond a joke at this stage. The government are said to be seriously considering imposing financial penalties on nurses who went on strike and will be on strike again in February.

According to Kfm Radio, the Government are considering plans to take legal action on whether or not they can impose financial penalties on those who undertake strike action.

It is understood that the government would impose restrictions as the strike action is currently in breach of the Public Pay Service Agreement.

Under the probable legal action the Government could impose restrictions such as a pay increase freeze and other penalties.

Kfm say that the Minister for Health Simon Harris is considering all options.
