Well known and often outspoken singer-songwriter Sinead O’Connor has called on people to boycott the world famous Rolling Stone magazine after they decided to make reality TV star Kim Kardashian its cover star this week.

Ms O’Connor who is well known for giving her somewhat controversial opinions on the modern music scene, has slammed the magazine’s decision to place the reality tv star on its front cover in a colorful post on her Facebook page recently, Ms  O’Connor wrote: “music has officially died”.“What is this **** doing on the cover of Rolling Stone? Music has officially died,” she went onto say: “Who knew it would be Rolling Stone that murdered it? Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh can no longer be expected to take all the blame. Bob Dylan must be ******* horrified. #BoycottRollingStone”.

Ms O’Connor’s post has received a mixed response from fellow celebrities with many of whom agreeing with the 90’s chart topper. One of whom Lily Hoshi wrote “Rolling Stone hasn’t been a serious music mag in a long time, but yeah, this cover choice is extra annoying.” However others disagreed with comments. Morgan Mcdonald wrote “Let’s not pretend that this is the first non-musician or even first reality star to be on the cover of rolling stone. Rolling stone hasn’t been about the music for a long time now. Get over yourself.”
