Authorities in Italy have confirmed that six people have been killed and over a hundred people have been injured following a stampede at a nightclub.
It is understood the devastating incident occurred in the town of Corinaldo, which is located near eastern the city of Ancona.
According to Italian media the stampede occurred after pepper spray was fired inside the club which caused people to panic.
Police however have yet to confirm these reports, but instead revealed that six people have been killed and 10 have been seriously injured.
It is believed the incident occurred at approximately 1am local time at the Lanterna Azzurra club.
