Gardai have comfimed that over 100 motorists were caught speeding on the M7 motorway on Monday.
In an operation that involved GoSafe, Gardai revealed that over 100 motorists were caught speeding over the 60kp/h speed limit.
It is understood the operation was undertaken after a number of accidents were reported between junctions 8 and 11.
Gardai say the accidents occurred in an area where roadworks were being carried out.
They have also called on the public to slow down and that the operation will remain in effect for a number of days.
