According to forecasters this weekend Ireland will see it’s first dusting of snow as temperatures are expected to drop significantly.
Met Eireann say the cold snap will begin tonight as temperatures will drop to as low as 1C, with frost expected in most places.
Meanwhile the weekend will see a change, as Saturday and Sunday will be mostly dry and we may even see some sun, with the “odd wintry shower” expected both Sunday and Monday.
Although it won’t it quite be a winter wonderland many places particularly high areas will see some snow flakes falling.
