Snow-vember?: James Madden says UK and Ireland could experience three week cold snap this November with SNOW expected

Ireland and the UK could very well be set to experience a prolonged cold snap that will last at least three weeks if leading forecasters in Britain are to be believed.

According to The Express newspaper, leading forecaster James Madden has said long range forecasts have revealed that snow and bitterly cold conditions could be on the way begining from this weekend onwards.

Madden who has issued predictions in the past told the paper that this November will be unusually colder than normal with a cold snap expected to last throughout the majority of the month.

Speaking to The Express, Madden said light snow showers could very well spread southwards towards London and Wales this weekend.

The Exacta Weather forecaster, also claimed that the light showers will continue into early November, but it could potentially get worse in the second half of the month as long range forecasts suggest that we are on for significantly colder November than normal and he is confident that there could be extended snow showers during that time.

Meanwhile the British Met Office have said this coming weekend will be bitterly cold as temperatures are expected to drop below sub-zero overnight and remain in the single digits during the day.

The Met Office also confirmed that a light sprinkling of snow could arrive on higher ground particularly in Northern regions.

Although Met Eireann have played down of any snowfall in Ireland this weekend, they have said temperatures are set to drop significantly lower than usual and cold conditions are expected throughout.

However if the predicted conditions above are to be believed, Ireland could very well be subjected to similar wintery conditions caused by the so called ‘blocking high.’
