Ireland is getting set to experience its first heavy snowfall of winter 2017 over the weekend.
Met Eireann have issued their second highest weather warning as up to 3 inches of snow is expected to fall from midnight.
Citizens are advised to stay indoors, as temperatures are set to plunge to -5C, and even -8C in certain areas.
An Orange Weather Warning remains in place for Connacht, Cavan, Monaghan, Donegal, Dublin, Kildare, Laois, Longford, Louth, Wicklow, Offaly, Westmeath, and Meath.
The snow is expected to accumulate in many areas overnight, with further flurries expected tomorrow, Sunday.
It will remain very cold, with daytime temperatures struggling to rise past 5C.
