The national forecaster Met Eireann have issued a status orange weather warning claiming more heavy snowfalls are on the way to counties Monaghan, Cavan, Donegal and possibly Louth and parts of Meath.
Met Eireann has confirmed that an Atlantic depression is coming right behind Storm Fionn.
This new weather front is expected to bring a lot more snow and sleet to northern counties as temperatures plummet to below freezing this evening.
The severe weather warning will remain in place until least 12pm on Thursday.
