Dublin Airport bosses are said to be rather pleased, as about 1m passengers are expected to use the facility this Christmas season.
Airport sources say that they expect 978,000 people to arrive and depart from the two terminals between December 23 and January 6. If such prediction comes to pass, it will be the busiest Christmas on record.
According to the same sources, passenger numbers are up 8% on the figures registered for the same period last year.
