The Spanish people are in despair over the Catalonia crisis.
Catalan leader Carles Puigdemont said today that the Catalonian people won’t accept the illegal measures taken by the Spanish government offering direct rule from Madrid.
He went onto to say that Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy’s orders to fire the regional government and force a new election, coming into effect next Friday, was “the worst attack against the institutions and the people of Catalonia since the military dictatorship of Francisco Franco”.
Yesterday thousands took to the streets in Barcelona protesting against the Spanish Prime Minister.
