Spain’s World Cup preparations have been turned on there head after the Spanish FA sacked their head coach Julen Lopetegui.
The bizare decision which comes just over 48 hours before the country’s opening game at the tournament, has been seen as one of the major shocks of the tournament before it hadms even begun.
Lopetegui who was named as the new Real Madrid boss in Tuesday was given his marching orders despite leading the country to the tournament with 28 points out of a possible 30.
Although an official explanation has yet to be given as to why the next Real Madrid boss was sacked, it is reported that the Spanish FA felt betrayed by Lopetegui after he took the job before the beginning of the tournament.
