Staff at Google offices worldwide stage walkouts over treatment of women within the company

Staff at Google offices in Dublin and indeed around the world have staged a number of walkouts in protest of the company’s treatment of women.

The series of protests which have occured in Dublin, Silicon Valley and other office branches across the globe comes a employees at the company have demanded a change in how sexual misconduct cases are dealt with at the company.

It is also believed that employees at the company have become annoyed at the company’s male dominated workforce which has been claimed to have created a more unsavoury working environments.

The large protests which have gained much exposure from the world’s media have also come about after a report issued last week found that 48 employees had been fired from their position over the past two years.

It is also reported that 13 top level executives were removed from their positions following allegations of sexual harassment.

Although Google have said they are working hard on eliminating sexual misconduct within the company, many working at the company feel that senior management have done little to enact any real change.
