A ruling by the European Court of Justice will entitle workers who are on long-term sick leave to build up annual leave.
According to the Minister for Business and Employment Ged Nash, the changes mean that the ruling “means that workers in Ireland will be able to carry over any annual leave that they have built up during a period of long-term sick leave.
“They’ll be able to carry that over for a period of 15 months after the sick leave year in question.”
