There will be a real treat for stargazers this evening as the Orionid meteor shower will be visible over Irish skies.
In what will be spectacular light show the meteor shower will be best visible in this part of the world tonight.
The shower is caused by the debris shed by Halley’s Comet and take their name from the constellation Orion.
It is expected the shower will be most visible at 10pm tonight.
