The national broadcaster Met Eireann says a status yellow weather warning remains in place this morning as the heatwave continues.
Temperatures reached 28c yesterday afternoon with forecasters saying today will be just as hot and sunny.
According to RTE, Met Eireann has warned of drought or almost drought conditions for the entire country as temperatures remain high with sun and dry weather forecast for the coming week.
Other than the threat of a drought, get out and enjoy the weather!
