Up 190,000 properties are without power today as a result of Storm Ali’s very strong winds.
The storm has seen trees fallen right across the country taking with them electricity lines and poles.
The ESB have said that they are aware of the faults and will send teams out to work when it’s safe to do so, but judging by the weather – don’t hold your breath for that to happen anytime soon.
The storm had already seen gusts of wind with speeds of 130klm.
People are advised to take extra care while out and about today especially.
