Storm Caroline at the gates: Ireland about to be enveloped in Caroline’s wintry grip




Storm Caroline is just about to make landfall in the country in the coming minutes, bringing fierce winds and snowfalls.

A wind alert will kick in at 4pm for counties Donegal, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo, Sligo, Clare and Kerry. It will remain in place until 8pm this evening.

Also, a nationwide snow-ice weather warning will be in place from 4pm onwards.
