Storm Caroline: Ireland set to get battered yet again with freezing temps, wind and snow showers from tomorrow

Ireland is set to weather yet another storm this year – this time Storm Caroline.

It is time to secure all our wheelie bins again, as Storm Caroline is about to unleash its mighty power over Ireland.

Met Eireann has issued a Yellow Status Weather warning due to expected heavy rains and strong gusts of wind of up to 110km/h from Thursday morning onwards.

Conditions are forecast to be particularly dire across western coastal counties.

The warning will remain in place until Thursday evening and then temperatures are set to drop to -3c where snow showers are expected.
