Ireland has been enjoying the longest and warmest heatwave in living memory, with temperatures surpassing 30C at times and long periods of sunshine.
But all that summer goodness may come to an abrupt end sooner, rather than later, as Storm Chris blows across the Atlantic.
According to the Irish Mirror, the storm system is largely expected to be upgraded to a hurricane, and though it will not move anywhere close to Ireland, we may still feel its tail.
This week is likely to remain warm and settled, with fine conditions lasting through the weekend.
Beyond that, Chris will decide.
